Zincorietveldite is a rare zinc-bearing silica polymorph or zinc silicate mineral discovered in unusual mineralogical settings. It forms colorless to pale white microcrystalline masses and is of scientific interest for its crystal chemical novelty. The mineral adds to the known diversity of zinc-bearing silicate or modified silicate phases in the natural mineral kingdom.
