Yuchuanite-(Y) is a rare yttrium-dominant hydroxyl silicate mineral first described from metamorphic or metasomatic rocks enriched in heavy rare earth elements in China. It forms colorless to pale yellowish microscopic crystals and represents a natural example of a Y-dominant hydroxyl silicate phase. The mineral contributes to understanding HREE partitioning in metamorphic silicate systems.
