Vielleaureite-(Ce) is a cerium-dominant rare earth fluoride mineral of the fluocerite group, forming in carbonatite complexes and alkaline pegmatites with elevated REE and fluorine. It occurs as pale yellowish to whitish hexagonal prismatic crystals associated with other REE fluorides and carbonates. The mineral is of scientific interest for its role in documenting cerium fluoride mineralogy in fluorine-enriched alkaline igneous systems.
