Zilbermintsite-(La) is a lanthanum-dominant member of the zilbermintsite group of rare earth carbonate silicate minerals, occurring in carbonatite-related alkaline complexes and REE ore deposits. It forms pale yellowish to colorless monoclinic prismatic crystals and contributes to the systematics of REE carbonate silicate mineral diversity. The mineral is of scientific interest for documenting lanthanum dominance in a carbonate silicate structural framework.
