Hydroxylbenyacarite is a hydroxyl-dominant titanium iron phosphate mineral of the benyacarite group, found in lithium-bearing granitic pegmatites of Argentina. It forms orange to brownish-orange prismatic crystals associated with lithiophilite, triphylite, and other phosphate minerals in complex pegmatite phosphate assemblages. The mineral is significant for understanding titanium incorporation in phosphate mineral structures and is named partly for the Benyacar pegmatite locality in Mendoza Province.
