Gajardoite-(NH4) is an ammonium-dominant sulfate mineral of the gajardoite group, first described from fumarolic deposits associated with active volcanic systems. It forms pale yellow to white microcrystalline crusts in high-temperature volcanic gas vents. The mineral is of scientific interest as an example of natural ammonium sulfate mineralization in volcanic fumarole environments.
