Fluor-rossmanite is a fluorine-dominant lithium-aluminum tourmaline, a cyclosilicate crystallizing in the trigonal system as elongate prismatic crystals with a vitreous luster, typically pink to colorless. It is found in lithium-rich granitic pegmatites and is the fluorine-analogue of rossmanite, named for mineralogist George Rossman. The mineral is sought by tourmaline collectors and contributes to understanding fluorine-hydroxyl substitution in the tourmaline supergroup.
