Berndlehmannite is a newly described rare mercury tellurosulfosalt mineral found in epithermal precious metal deposits. It forms minute metallic gray grains intimately associated with other telluride and sulfosalt phases in gold-silver hydrothermal veins. The mineral honors mineralogist Bernd Lehmann and adds to knowledge of mercury partitioning in telluride-rich ore systems.
