Lebedevite is a rare calcium barium titanium fluorosilicate mineral described from alkaline pegmatites of the Khibiny massif on the Kola Peninsula, Russia, one of the world's richest localities for unusual alkaline minerals. It forms colorless to pale yellowish prismatic crystals in nepheline syenite pegmatites. The mineral is of scientific interest for its complex Ti-Ba-Ca silicofluoride crystal chemistry and is part of a suite of highly unusual minerals unique to Kola alkaline complexes.
