Yamhamelachite is a rare copper carbonate hydroxide mineral related to malachite, first described from oxidized copper deposits in Israel, particularly in the ancient mining region of the Timna Valley. It forms bright green microcrystalline masses and coatings on host rock surfaces in gossan assemblages. The mineral contributes to knowledge of rare copper carbonate hydroxide species in oxidized ore zones of the Middle East.
