Touretite is a rare fluorine-bearing phosphate mineral discovered in pegmatitic or metamorphic rocks with elevated rare earth element content. It forms colorless to pale yellow microscopic crystals and belongs to a small group of natural fluorophosphate mineral species. The mineral is named for French mineralogist Jacques Touret and contributes to understanding F-REE phosphate crystal chemistry.
