Zvēstovite-(Fe) is a ferrous iron-dominant member of the zvēstovite group of complex phosphate minerals, first described from phosphatic nodules or unusual sedimentary phosphate deposits in the Baltic region. It forms pale yellowish to white tabular microcrystals in phosphate-rich sedimentary or diagenetic assemblages. The mineral is of scientific interest for its crystal chemical position in a rare group of sedimentary phosphate species.
